Senior Program Manager The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at the University of San Francisco is looking for an exceptional Senior Program Manager (PM) to lead and manage diverse CTSI programs. If you are a passionate, high energy, and results oriented individual with a creative and analytical mind, then this position is for you. Your advanced program management experience in a Health Research, Biotech or Pharma environment will position you well to work with our various programs whose scopes span from conducting clinical studies to providing regulatory support to researchers. This high profile PM position works directly with CTSI leadership to drive programmatic success. The PM, in collaboration with CTSI leadership, will drive program implementation by proactively engaging with program stakeholders to review program status, identify barriers and opportunities, and plan future actions while ensuring effective communication with all key stakeholders. |

Participant Recruitment Services Director This high profile position reports to directly to CTSI leadership and will champion an innovative new service at UCSF that addresses a large, unmet need for participant recruitment in clinical research. The Participant Recruitment Services (PRS) Director will lead the development of the new UCSF PRS from concept through defining strategic direction to ultimate implementation. As an ambassador for the UCSF PRS, she/he will establish lines of communication with all key stakeholders at local and national level. The Director will develop a business model for the PRC, garner approval and support for the plan and execute its implementation whilst engaging all key stakeholders to ensure the UCSF PRS is a success. The director will also be responsible for managing the PRS budget and will hire and supervise a staff compliment of 19 with dotted line supervision of staff in other CTSI programs as necessary. Advanced degree or extensive (10+ years) relevant work experience with strong leadership and management skill and demonstrated ability to lead within a rapidly evolving start-up like environment are all required. We are looking for an individual who can create an organization from the ground up and has experience in clinical research requiring recruitment of human subjects and experience in financial management and budgeting, revenue generation and optimization. Excellent communications, interpersonal and meeting facilitation skills are required. Other requirements include: experience with product management for internet-based technologies, especially those that emphasize large-scale, user-focused, database-driven applications, health or research informatics, and virtual collaboration experience is required. Deputy Program Director, CRC The DPD will be apart of the management team responsible for UCSF’s Clinical Research Center (CRC), a network of nine clinical research sites throughout the San Francisco Bay Area offering innovative clinical research support services to UCSF’s researchers and trainees. The successful candidate will support the Program Director in leading the CRC enterprise by developing and implementing financial and operational systems and processes to support facilities, staff, and infrastructure needed to support researchers in high quality clinical trials and clinical research ranging from first-in-human to pivotal studies for regulatory approval. Creating an environment that leads to more productive and efficient translational research is a key tenet of the funding award from the NIH. The DPD will play a significant role in the development of a cutting edge service organization and transforming the CRC into a model of excellence and efficiency. Program Director, CRC The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is an NIH-funded, multidisciplinary organization established to enhance and to accelerate clinical and translational research across the campus. A major component of the Institute is the CTSI Clinical Research Center (CCRC), with an annual operating budget of $12M. The CCRC is comprised of nine distinct but coordinated units that provide infrastructure and research support for a wide variety of multidisciplinary translational and clinical studies conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We are seeking a Program Director (PD) of the CCRC who can play a pivotal role in leading the CCRC so that it best meets the needs of clinical and translational researchers based at UCSF and affiliated institutions, as well as collaborators from the local community and biotech/pharma.
