NIH mHealth Training Institute Scholarship
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), in collaboration with mHIMSS, will host the NIH mHealth Training Institute at the 2012 mHealth Summit on December 1-2. The mHealth Institute is designed to provide behavioral and social scientists tools to successfully add mobile health technologies to their research in a collaborative team environment with mentorship from leaders in the fields of engineering, medicine and the behavioral and social sciences. A limited number of scholarships, sponsored by the mHealth Summit, are available for early career researchers. Potential scholarship candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be within 5 years of terminal doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, MD, DDS, DVM, etc.)
- Currently in a non-tenure track position (post-doc, residency, lectureship, etc)
- Be able to demonstrate financial need (see below)
To apply for the scholarship, please submit the following items:
- Current curriculum vita or resume
- Essay of no more than 600 words describing why you would benefit from the training
- Letter from a supervisor (mentor, chair, dean etc.) highlighting your need for a scholarship
