The CTSI Clinical Research Center at San Francisco General Hospital consists of a 10 bed inpatient unit located on Ward 5B which is open 24/7 and an outpatient unit located on Ward 4C.

The Moffitt/MtZion CTSI Clinical Research Center (CRC) provides UCSF investigators with a full-service inpatient and outpatient research facility. The CRC provides the clinical and translational research infrastructure for UCSF investigators campus-wide to study pathogenesis and treatment spanning the spectrum of human disease. CRC resources include: inpatient and outpatient space, nursing services, dietary service biostatistical consultation, core laboratory services and exercice phyisology laboratory.
The Moffitt/MtZion CRC comprises a 10-bed inpatient unit and outpatient facilities on 12-Moffitt on the UCSF Parnassus campus, a 7-examination room outpatient facility on the 6-West ward of the UCSF/Mount Zion Medical Center.The 12-Moffitt site also includes core laboratories and a research kitchen and exercise lab.

The Pediatric Clinical Research Center (PCRC) is a child-oriented research organization within the institution-wide UCSF Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI). As part of the unified infrastructure of the CTSI Clinical Research Centers (CRC), the PCRC is dedicated to clinical investigation focused on infants and children.
The PCRC encompasses three research units: 1) a discrete, five-bed inpatient facility located within the UCSF Children’s Hospital on the Moffitt 6th floor, staffed by professional research nurses; 2) an adjacent outpatient clinic which provides nursing and infrastructure for outpatient studies; and 3) a specialized research outreach team to carry out studies in the Intensive Care Nursery and Pediatric Heart Center.
The PCRC is supported by a full-time child developmental psychologist, bionutrition services, a specialized core laboratory, a biostatistician to assist with study design and a computer systems manager. Members of the PCRC Advisory Committee are available to assist with study planning, and the PCRC Protocol Coordinator is a source for general information.
Investigators seeking to conduct research within the PCRC must have protocols approved by the PCRC Advisory Committee. Approval by the Committee on Human Research is also required and is a separate application process.

The Tenderloin Clinical Research Center (TCRC) is an urban epidemiologically focused research organization within the institution-wide UCSF Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. As part of the unified infrastructure of the CTSI Clinical Research Centers, the TCRC is dedicated to clinical investigation focused on marginalized populations, particularly those living with HIV/AIDS.

Children’s Hospital and Research Center at Oakland (CHRCO) consists of a renowned non-profit children’s hospital and its associated research institute, Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI). CHRCO has 240 in- patient beds, a Day Hospital, research pharmacy, a full complement of outpatient programs and a pediatric residency training program with 75 residents each year. CHRCO serves a variety of populations diverse in diagnostic category, socioeconomic status and ethnicity.

The Clinic is an outpatient clinical research unit and an accredited procedural sedation site – overseen by the California Department of Health Services, The Joint Commission, Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center’s Department of Quality, and the Department of Accreditation, Regulation and Licensing.
