Eligibility

UCSF applicants must be currently enrolled in the UCSF School of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry or Pharmacy. With the exception of students in the School of Nursing, all students must be pre-doctoral. Students from other universities, or allied health professions are also eligible to apply for the program.

Medical students from outside of UCSF should apply through the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation application process.

Students from allied health professions should apply using the PACCTR application process.

UCSF Medical students should apply through the PACCTR program, unless they wish to apply to outside schools. In that case they may apply to both programs.

 

Selection Criteria

The campus-wide Multidisciplinary Advisory Committee (AC) will review applications, research projects and mentorship and make selection recommendations to the Executive Committee (EC) Applicants will be judged on the following:

  1. Personal Statement

  2. Quality of Research Plan

  3. Letters of Support

  4. Mentor’s Endorsement letter
