CTSI catalyzes the formation of umbrella funding program: Resource Allocation Program (RAP)

This fall 2007 outlines a new remarkable way to apply for funds at UCSF.

Starting with our fall 2007 funding cycle, SOS will be part of the Resource Allocation Program (RAP). The goal of RAP is to make applying for intramural funding at UCSF as easy as possible. The following four funding agencies, which now form RAP, have combined their application and review processes:

  • Clinical & Translational Science Institute's Strategic Opportunities Support Center CTSI-SOS;
  • School of Medicine's REAC Committee;
  • UCSF-GIVI Center for AIDS Research CFAR;
  • Cancer Center's Clinical Investigator Research Program CIRP

Applicants will be able to apply directly for SOS funding programs on the RAP website. The program will launch November 1, 2007. Stay tuned for public announcements and links to the RAP website.

The SOS Center will offer 12 different awards in the following categories:

  • Pilots
  • Technologies and Methods
  • Multidisciplinary
  • Career Development
  • International
