Training focuses on a wide variety of areas, including drug and device development, observational study design, epidemiology, clinical trials, scientific communication, implementation and dissemination sciences (IDS) for community-based practitioners, and health policy.
RESOURCES & SERVICES
Summer Clinical Research Workshop: Seven-week program consisting of three courses (Designing Clinical Research, Responsible Conduct of Research, and Building a Career in Clinical Research) that provides instruction in the development of clinical research proposals that are scientifically sound, ethically appropriate, and provide entry to a career in academic medicine.
Advanced Training in Clinical Research (ATCR) Certificate Program: Four academic quarter program consisting of 14 required courses that provide more instruction in the methods of clinical research and ongoing guidance and support as scholars begin to implement research projects.
Master’s Degree Program in Clinical Research: Two-year program that through enhanced coursework and precepting provides trainees with mastery of clinical research methods and culminates in a number of research products including a systematic review, a presentation at a national meeting, and a publication of a peer-reviewed clinical research report.
Courses in Clinical Research Methods: In addition to the comprehensive educational programs, individuals may also take courses on an individual basis.
