PACK (Probiotics And Crying Kids) Study
Goal: To assess the effectiveness of a probiotic supplement (Lactobacillus reuteri) for children with persistent crying or colic-like symptoms
Lead: UCSF researcher Michael Cabana, MD, MPH, Professor of Pediatrics, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, supported by the CTSI Clinical Research Center
Recruitment: The study is recruiting healthy infants who are between the ages of 3 weeks and 3 months, experiencing ongoing crying and/or fussiness, crying for a minimum of 3 hours/day for 3 days/week for at least one week
