Whether you're a seasoned researcher, a curious study coordinator, an ethically minded trainee, or simply intrigued by the possibilities of AI, these modules are designed to equip you with the tools to consider the ethical complexities of today's research landscape.

The Regulatory Knowledge and Support program is providing 3 trainings from the CITI program for all UCSF personnel.

  1. Essentials of Responsible AI: Explore the fundamentals of responsible artificial intelligence and gain insights into ethical considerations, best practices, and emerging trends in AI development, use, and governance.
  2. Big Data and Data Science Research Ethics: Delve into the ethical implications of big data and data science research, examining key principles such as privacy, patient awareness, and data protection.
  3. New Course- Essentials of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) & Clinical Decision Making Support Systems: Designed for clinician-researchers, sponsor-investigators, and digital health developers, this course demystifies the regulatory landscape for SaMD and CDSS—including AI/ML-enabled and combination devices. Learn how to navigate clinical evaluations, meet your regulatory obligations, and avoid missteps while turning innovation into impact

  • Once you sign in to the University of California San Francisco Page, scroll to the bottom.
  • In the “Learner Tools for University of California San Francisco” box- click Add a Course.
