Student and Resident Research Projects Recognized at ePosterpalooza!

ePosterpalooza Participants

Approximately 150 people assembled in the Millberry Union gymnasium on May 6th for the annual ePosterpalooza! and Pathways to Discovery Awards, a highlight of the Inter-School Research & Scholarly Activity Festival.   The event showcased the work of students and residents from UCSF’s schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing and featured special presentations from recipients of the Dean’s Prize Awards and Pathways to Discovery Awards.

Co-sponsored by Pathways to Discovery and the Clinical and Translational Research Fellowship Program, ePosterpalooza! is one of the largest events celebrating the research accomplishments of learners from across UCSF.  This year, there were 114 posters presented in 10 different categories, including Global Health, Molecular Medicine and Clinical & Translational Science.

Joel Palefsky, professor of medicine and director, Clinical and Translational Research Fellowship Program, says, “ePosterpalooza! complements a broader initiative at UCSF to transform medical education and training to meet the demands of practice in the 21st century.  The projects presented at ePosterpalooza! represent the types of authentic learning experiences that help prepare our students and residents to tackle medicine’s most challenging problems.”
