As part of a strategic initiative to further establish a culture of transparency and accountability, UCSF’s Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) announced that Fabrice Beretta, MBA, has joined its team as director of Planning, Evaluation & Tracking (PET).
Most recently, Beretta served as principal at Enterprise Catalyst Group, a management consulting firm focused on helping medical product companies overcome operational challenges. Prior to that, he was a principal and senior manager in operational/business excellence at Genentech. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Technology of Compiegne, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“This is a great fit,” said Mini Kahlon, PhD, CTSI Deputy Director and CIO. “Fabrice brings a background in science and operational excellence that will help to bolster our efforts to develop program goals and targets, as well as relevant metrics of success.”
CTSI at UCSF is a member of the National Institutes of Health-funded Clinical and Translational Science Awards network focusing on accelerating research to improve health. The Institute provides services for researchers at every stage, and promotes online collaboration and networking through UCSF Profiles.
