Elizabeth Boyd, PhD named Director, UC BRAID

Elizabeth Boyd, PhD has been appointed Director of University of California Biomedical Research Acceleration Integration & Development (UC BRAID), effective September 19, 2022. UC BRAID is a consortium of University of California campuses - Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco - which receive funding from NCATS at the NIH. 

Dr. Boyd has supported UC BRAID as Strategic Development Advisor since 2021; in that role she guided the implementation of UC BRAID’s strategic plan for the 2022-23 fiscal year.

Tung Nguyen, MD, has accepted the role of associate vice chancellor for Research – Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism (AVC Research – IDEA). The role of the AVC Research – IDEA is to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are embedded throughout the UCSF research enterprise through policies, practices, and value alignment toward developing a research environment that proactively addresses racism and all aspects of inequity and discrimination.
